Welcome Utilities Terms of Service

1. Overview
Welcome Utilities is a service provided by Welcome ("we," "us," or "our") that simplifies the process of setting up utility services for residents moving into partner properties. By enrolling in Welcome Utilities, you authorize us to coordinate the establishment of utility services on your behalf.
2. Service Description
When you enroll in Welcome Utilities, we will:
- Contact local utility providers on your behalf to establish service
- Coordinate service activation to align with your move-in date
- Handle initial setup paperwork and documentation
- Provide consolidated billing options where available
3. Your Responsibilities
By enrolling, you agree to:
- Provide accurate personal information including your full legal name, date of birth, and Social Security Number (if required by the utility provider)
- Provide accurate move-in date and property address information
- Pay all utility charges incurred during your tenancy
- Notify us promptly of any changes to your move-in date or tenancy
- Maintain good standing on your utility accounts
4. Authorization
By enrolling in Welcome Utilities, you authorize Welcome to act as your agent for the limited purpose of establishing utility services. This authorization includes permission to:
- Submit applications for utility service in your name
- Provide your personal information to utility providers
- Receive communications from utility providers regarding your account setup
- Coordinate service start dates with utility providers
5. Fees and Billing
Welcome Utilities is provided as a complimentary service to residents of partner properties. There is no fee charged by Welcome for this enrollment service.
You remain responsible for all utility charges billed by the utility provider(s). Billing will come directly from the utility provider unless consolidated billing is available and selected.
6. Deposits
In most cases, utility deposits are waived for Welcome Utilities enrollees due to our partnership agreements with utility providers. However, deposits may still be required based on:
- Your credit history
- Previous utility payment history
- Utility provider policies
We will notify you if a deposit is required before finalizing your enrollment.
7. Service Limitations
Welcome Utilities coordinates service setup but does not:
- Guarantee specific utility rates or pricing
- Assume liability for utility service interruptions
- Provide customer support for ongoing utility issues (contact your utility provider directly)
- Cover any utility charges or fees on your behalf
8. Cancellation
You may cancel your Welcome Utilities enrollment at any time before service is activated by contacting your property management. If you cancel after service has been established, you are responsible for contacting the utility provider directly to transfer or cancel service.
9. Privacy
Your personal information will be used solely for the purpose of establishing utility services and will be shared only with relevant utility providers. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Welcome platform. Your continued use of Welcome Utilities after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
